Qumana test

Just found a free blogging application for Mac OSX. Looks quite interesting and simple to use. Just take a look.

You can download it from http://www.qumana.com/. Windows and Linux versions are also available!

And here they are!

I've been a beta tester for Ozimals Bunnies for the past several months (a lousy tester, as they refused to give me many bugs) and now they are finally out. I teleported to the new Ozimals sim and fought the lag plus the blinging, heavily scripted ladies and gents to get them and I succeeded!
Yes, they are another scripted, breedable and AI implemented Second Life pets, but they are way different from the ones I tried out before (yes, I'm a sucker for anything scripted). They don't die, they are pretty and as realistic as you can't get it in SL. I got myself a starter pack that guarantees a male and a female bunny. You can also get a single one or a breeders pack with 10 bunnies! Each pack includes some food and water to get you started. There are different nutrition levels that add to your bunny's stats and some gadgets to help you keep your bunnies healthy & happy, but I'll cover that another time. You can get more info and pricing at the Ozimals Team blog. As a bonus you get cute bunny ears and tail to wear and feel like a true bunny mommy or a true sex bomb, you chose.

Babies come in nests, you can identify the bunny's sex by the nest's colour. You just click it to start the birth. The future generations will not have coloured nests as the sex will be random. Also, they will take some more time to be born.

Here they are! I named them Lois & Clark (yep, I'm a dork). They come in different breeds, with different fur & eyes colours and their ears can be either upright or half lop (I love half lops!).

You get detailed stats after clicking your bunny. They're displayed in hovertext above it's head and in the main chat. The popup menu lets you chose many options from bunnies name, whom it interacts with, what range it jumps in, what level food does it use to the name of the bunny it's bonded with (bonded bunnies breed with eachother only, so you have control over the genes they inherit!). Another awesome things is the ability to turn off bunny anims and movement if your sim has a lot of lag.

The most awesome and sweet part of the fun is the ability to hold your bunny! They all have a built-in AO with male, female & tiny poses, both sitting and standing. I like the fact that it only overrides my upper body parts, so my avie is still using my favourite Oracul AO for legs animation. Holding your bunny increases it's happiness. And needless to say, it increases mine too!

That's it for now, I'm not going to spoil all the fun of discovering it for yourselves. More bunny posts will sure be coming.

Thanks to the Ozimals Team for tones of fun, your super-hyper-ultra proffessional support during the beta period and the release fever and finally for the fun product!

P.S. There's a small carrot hunt going on until Monday, so you can go and try your luck!

about: me

Hello, Avatar! My name is Morrigan Polanski and I'm a geek. A nerd. A technology addict. Also, I'm a girl. There are tons of Second Life fashion blogs out there. This one is not meant to be about fashion. Well... I mentioned I'm a girl? So there's going to be some (or some more) clothing involved. But what I want to concentrate on is gadgets, gizmos, geeky pleasures and all that makes SL a LIFE. Animations, furniture, HUD devices. You name it.

All for now, kids. Wish me luck.
